Beacons Pricing and Review: Features, Pros, Cons & Costs

Beacons has four plans and one number that matters more than the price. Every sale you make on the free plan and on the $10 plan carries a 9% fee. That fee only disappears when you reach $30 a month.

So the cheapest paid plan is the one that costs you money without removing anything. Work out your monthly sales and the right plan picks itself, which is the opposite of how most creator tools are bought.

This review covers the four plans and what each fee actually costs you, the break-even points between them, the brand-side marketplace that is priced separately, and the review picture, which is the most uncomfortable part of the story.

Beacons Overview

Beacons Overview

Beacons is a creator platform. It started as a link in bio tool and grew into a wider kit that covers a storefront, a media kit, digital products, courses, memberships, email and a set of AI features. A creator can run most of their business from one login.

Since 2025 there is a second half to the product. Beacons for Brands is a brand-side portal with an affiliate marketplace attached, and it went live with names including Stanley, Yves Rocher, Sur La Table, Corsair, Groupon and Perplexity. Brands search the creator base, message creators directly, set up campaigns and track results in one dashboard. Beacons puts its active creator base at over 10 million.

The two halves are priced very differently. Creator plans are published down to the dollar. The brand portal is a demo and a proposal, with no public figure attached. If you are a merchant looking at this alongside other influencer marketing platforms for Shopify brands, that is the first thing to plan around.

Who Should Use Beacons

The published plans are aimed at creators, so the brand fit depends on how you intend to use it:

  • Creators selling digital products: The storefront, courses and memberships all sit in one subscription, with Klarna and Affirm available for buyers.
  • Creators who pitch brands often: The media kit updates daily and exports as a PDF, which removes a recurring chore.
  • Brands testing creator-led affiliate: The marketplace connects to the creator base without you building a programme from scratch.
  • Shopify merchants: The Shopify integration and affiliate tracking are the pieces that make the brand portal usable.
  • Teams with no creator manager: A concierge service covers outreach through to reporting, which suits a brand with nobody to run it.
  • Brands that want creator media kits up front: Most creators on the platform already have one, so shortlisting is faster.
  • Brands needing a full creator programme in one place: This is the group it does not suit, since content approvals, contracts and payout controls are missing.

Key Features

Link in Bio and Storefront

The core product is a customisable page that holds links, products and affiliate offers. It is the creator's shop window, and everything else in the platform feeds into it. Custom domains are available from the $10 plan upwards.

Daily-Updating Media Kit

Follower counts, engagement and past work refresh automatically, and the kit can hold a rate card, past projects and an invoice. It can be gated or shared as a PDF. For a brand, this means most creators you approach already have current numbers to show.

The Affiliate Marketplace

Creators can join affiliate programmes from roughly 12,000 brand partners and place those links on their page. It is the main way a creator earns without their own product, and it is the same rail brands use when they run a campaign from the portal.

Beacons for Brands

The brand portal covers AI creator search across a base of more than 10 million, campaign proposals with performance data, forecasting with best and worst case, audience demographics, brand safety screening and a creator CRM. It is a proper brand-side tool rather than a directory, though it is a younger product than a dedicated creator database and it shows in the depth of filtering.

AI Credits

AI features run on a credit meter. The free plan gives 30 credits a day, the $10 plan lifts that to 300 and the $30 plan makes them unlimited. Credits cover the assistant, content help and an outreach email generator that drafts brand pitches.

Email and Smart Reply

Email sends are capped by plan, from 50 a month on free up to unlimited on the $30 plan. Smart Reply handles Instagram auto-DMs, so a comment can trigger a link without anybody typing it. For creators running product drops this is the feature that turns a post into traffic.

Digital Products, Courses and Memberships

Digital products are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. Courses with video hosting and memberships unlock on the $30 plan. Klarna and Affirm are available at checkout, which matters for anything priced above impulse level.

Shopify Integration and Affiliate Tracking

Shopify connects to the platform so orders driven by creator links are tracked back. This is what makes the brand side measurable rather than anecdotal, and it is the only eCommerce integration named.

Beacons Pricing

Four creator plans are published, and annual billing works out at two months free. The seller fee is the column that decides which plan you should be on.

PLAN MONTHLY ANNUAL SELLER FEE AFFILIATE COMMISSION
Free $0 $0 9% A cut is taken, rate not published
Creator $10 $100 per year 9% A cut is taken, rate not published
Creator Plus $30 $300 per year 0% You keep 100%
Creator Max $90 $900 per year 0% You keep 100%

Free Plan

$0 per month. The plan includes:

  • A customisable link in bio page
  • A media kit that updates daily
  • Unlimited digital products
  • Affiliate links from the brand partner network
  • 30 AI credits a day
  • 50 email sends a month
  • Smart Reply Instagram auto-DMs
  • A 9% fee on everything you sell

Creator Plan

$10 per month, or $100 a year. The plan adds:

  • 300 AI credits a month
  • A free custom domain
  • 500 email sends a month
  • Advanced SEO controls
  • The same 9% seller fee

Creator Plus Plan

$30 per month, or $300 a year. The plan adds:

  • No seller fee at all
  • 100% of your affiliate commissions
  • Unlimited AI credits
  • Unlimited email sends
  • Unlimited courses with video hosting
  • Unlimited memberships
  • Klarna and Affirm at checkout

Creator Max Plan

$90 per month, or $900 a year. The plan adds:

  • Google Workspace
  • White-glove onboarding
  • Prioritised support
  • A physical NFC card
  • Invitations to in-person events

Where the Fee Break-Even Sits

The 9% fee is the whole calculation. Creator Plus costs $30 a month and removes it, so the upgrade pays for itself at $333 a month in sales. On annual billing the effective cost is $25 a month, which brings the break-even down to about $278.

That makes the $10 plan awkward. It costs $120 a year and leaves the 9% fee exactly where it was. Going from Creator to Creator Plus costs $20 more a month, which is covered by $222 in monthly sales. If you sell anything at all, the $10 tier is the wrong place to be, and if you sell nothing, the free plan already does most of what it does.

Support Is a Paid Feature

Response times are tied to your plan, moving from under 48 hours on free to under 24, under 12 and under 6 hours as you climb. Given what independent reviewers say about support, treat those times as the thing you are buying on the higher plans rather than the NFC card.

What Brands Pay

Nothing is published for Beacons for Brands. The route in is a demo and a custom proposal, so campaign budgets, platform fees and any commission on creator spend are all set in conversation. If you need to compare the cost before a call, the AI features and outreach automation you would be buying are available elsewhere at published monthly prices.

Beacons Reviews

1.8/5.0 (Trustpilot, 41 reviews). This is the only sample of any real size and it is poor, with 78% of reviewers leaving one star and 10% leaving five.

4.7/5.0 (G2, 3 reviews). Three reviews is not a score, and it should not be weighed against the Trustpilot sample despite the better number.

The positive feedback is easy to summarise. Reviewers like having one tool instead of five, they find it simple to use, and they like being able to sell across several channels from one page.

The complaints are specific and they repeat. Support is slow to respond, with waits measured in weeks. Affiliate payouts are reported as sitting in pending status for long periods. Annual renewal costs are described as unclear at the point of purchase. Downgrading a plan or cancelling is difficult, and domains bought through the platform carry a transfer fee of $70 or more. Free accounts also carry branding until you upgrade.

None of that makes the product unusable, and a low Trustpilot score often reflects who bothers to leave a review. It does mean a brand should test payouts on a small campaign before scaling one.

Integrations

The connection surface is narrow and built around selling rather than marketing operations:

  • Shopify: Connects your store so orders from creator links are tracked back to the creator.
  • Instagram: Powers Smart Reply, which sends an automatic DM when someone comments.
  • Klarna: Buy now, pay later at checkout on the $30 plan and above.
  • Affirm: A second instalment option for higher priced products and courses.
  • Google Workspace: Bundled on the top plan for email and documents on your own domain.

There is no published integration directory beyond this. No named email service provider, customer data platform, analytics tool or accounting connector appears, so anything outside the platform means exporting.

Pros of Beacons

The Free Plan Is Genuinely Useful

Unlimited digital products, affiliate links, a daily-updating media kit and Instagram auto-DMs at no cost is more than most free tiers offer. A creator can start earning before paying anything, and the 9% fee only applies once money moves.

One Subscription Replaces Several

Link page, storefront, media kit, courses, memberships and email normally come from three or four vendors. At $30 a month with no seller fee, the bundle is hard to beat on price alone, and that is the main reason creators stay.

Real Brands Are Using the Marketplace

Stanley, Yves Rocher, Sur La Table, Corsair, Groupon and Perplexity are named as early adopters of the brand portal. For a young product, that is meaningful proof that the creator supply and the tracking work well enough for serious budgets.

Cons of Beacons

The $10 Plan Removes No Fees

This is the cost trap. Creator costs $120 a year and leaves the 9% seller fee untouched, so anyone selling more than $222 a month is better off on Creator Plus. The plan only makes sense for someone who wants a custom domain and never sells anything, which is a very small group.

The Independent Reviews Are Poor

A 1.8 across 41 Trustpilot reviews is a hard number to look past, and the 4.7 elsewhere rests on three reviews. The recurring themes are support waits, unclear renewals and difficulty downgrading. For a brand planning to pay creators through the platform, the payout complaints deserve a test campaign first.

Brand Pricing Is Invisible

Every published figure is aimed at creators. The portal a merchant would actually buy has no price, no tier structure and no published commission, so you cannot size the spend or compare it until you have been through a proposal.

It Is Not a Full Creator Programme

Discovery, messaging and affiliate tracking are covered. Content approvals, usage rights, contracts, gifting workflows and coupon leakage controls are not, and there is no UGC content library to collect and reuse what creators make. A brand running campaigns at any volume will need a second platform beside it.

Is Beacons Worth It?

For a creator, yes, and the maths is simple. Free gets you selling, $30 removes the fee, and past $333 a month in sales the upgrade has already paid for itself. Very little else bundles a storefront, courses, memberships and email at that price.

For a brand, it is promising rather than proven. The marketplace has real names on it and the Shopify tracking works, but the pricing is invisible, the programme tooling stops early, and the only meaningful review sample is negative on support and payouts. Run a small campaign before you build anything on it.

Brands weighing a creator marketplace against a full platform usually consider the following:

  • Influencer Hero: Publishes its prices at $649, $1,049 and $2,490 a month by outreach volume, and covers what stops early here, including content approvals, usage rights, gifting, a UGC library, coupon leakage prevention and creator payouts at 0.1% to 0.4%.
  • Afluencer: Flips discovery around so creators apply to your campaign listings, which is the faster route when you need volume rather than a shortlist, and its guide to finding micro-influencers shows how that works in practice.
  • ShopMy: Creator storefronts and commission links aimed squarely at beauty and fashion. For a brand in those categories with an existing creator list, it is the closer fit.
  • Linktree: The largest link in bio tool, with its own brand-side discovery product attached. If reach and creator familiarity matter more than campaign depth, it is worth a look.
  • Stan Store: A simpler creator storefront built around selling digital products quickly. For a brand partnering with course and coaching creators, it makes more sense.

Final Thoughts

Beacons puts a lot into a free account, and on the creator side that is a fair deal. One number decides the rest, which is the 9% seller fee that only disappears on the $30 plan, so anything above roughly $333 a month in sales makes the upgrade obvious. For a brand, the product you would actually buy is the marketplace, and that sits behind a proposal while every published price points at creators. The reviews are the part to weigh hardest, because the only sample of real size is poor and the complaints centre on payouts and support. Test a small campaign, and look at the Beacons alternatives that publish brand pricing before you build a programme on it.

FAQ
How much does Beacons cost?
There is a free plan, then $10, $30 and $90 a month. Annual billing works out at $100, $300 and $900 a year, which is two months free. The brand portal is quoted separately with no published price.
Does Beacons take a cut of sales?
Yes, on the free and $10 plans. Both carry a 9% seller fee, and a cut is also taken from affiliate commissions. The fee disappears on the $30 plan, where you keep 100% of your commissions.
Which plan should I be on?
It depends on one number. Below $222 a month in sales the free plan is usually enough, and above $333 a month the $30 plan has already paid for itself by removing the 9% fee. The $10 plan removes no fees, so it rarely wins.
Can brands use Beacons to run campaigns?
Yes. Beacons for Brands covers AI creator search across more than 10 million creators, proposals, forecasting, brand safety screening, a creator CRM and a concierge service, with Shopify tracking behind it. Pricing is by proposal only.
Is Beacons well reviewed?
Not on the largest sample available. Trustpilot shows 1.8 out of 5 across 41 reviews, with support waits, pending payouts and difficulty downgrading as the main themes. A 4.7 on G2 rests on only three reviews.
